Education
2019-2025
Louisiana State University
I initially pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering before my true passion for Industrial Engineering. During my studies, I gained extensive hands-on experience in manufacturing and fabrication. At LSU, I completed a range of engineering-focused courses, including Project Management, Supply Chain Logistics, and Manufacturing Processes, which equipped me with valuable skills in design and project execution. Additionally, I enhanced my artistic capabilities through courses in sculpture, stop motion, and photography, allowing me to effectively create models and utilize various design software.
2017-2019
Southeastern Louisiana University
During my two years at Southeastern Louisiana University (SELU), I focused on foundational education courses and prerequisites essential for an degree. This period was instrumental in shaping my academic path and preparing me for future challenges in the engineering field. Additionally, it marked the beginning of my passion for photography and design, which added a creative dimension to my studies. My time at SELU was not only about academics but also about exploring my artistic interests and establishing a well-rounded skill set.
While at LSU, I have had many opportunities to participate in various research projects that address real-world challenges and drive meaningful change. I have become a mentor in the Geaux Transfer program, a newly implemented, NSF-funded initiative being tested for the first time this semester. Designed to support transfer students in STEM, this program pairs new transfers with experienced peers to ease their transition to LSU. As a mentor, my mission is to provide guidance on academic success strategies, time management, and campus navigation while also contributing to research evaluating the program’s impact.
Through my participation, I offer firsthand insights into the transfer student experience, helping to identify key challenges and effective support strategies. My role extends beyond mentorship, as I actively shape the program by providing feedback, engaging in discussions on best practices, and contributing to ongoing research. The findings will directly inform the development of future transfer student programs at LSU, ensuring stronger retention and success rates.
By combining mentorship with research-driven insights, I am helping to build a lasting framework that fosters transfer student success, strengthens community, and enhances resources for future STEM transfers.

One of my most memorable experiences while at LSU has been attending SWE24 in Chicago, an unforgettable opportunity that expanded my professional network, strengthened my confidence, and opened doors to new career opportunities. None of this would have been possible without SWE LSU. I was one of 29 students fortunate enough to attend this trip with financial support, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the conference. At SWE24, I connected with industry leaders, recruiters, and fellow engineers from diverse backgrounds. The career fair was a major highlight, providing the chance to engage with top companies, participate in interviews, and ultimately receive my first job offer. Beyond professional growth, SWE24 reinforced the importance of community and support among women in engineering. I attended inspiring keynote sessions, technical workshops, and networking events that broadened my perspective on career paths in engineering and leadership. Experiencing Chicago for the first time made the trip even more impactful. The city, the people, and the atmosphere were eye-opening and life-changing. Exploring with my peers, celebrating our achievements, and sharing our aspirations created lasting memories. SWE24 was not just a conference, it was a transformative milestone in my journey as an engineer, reaffirming my passion for innovation and my commitment to breaking barriers in STEM.
